This week we continue with our Way of the Warlord program here at A Kings Castle. This is designed to be an interactive physical, mental, and martial arts program where the authors of the site give out a two week challenge to the readers to better ourselves and become better men.
Phase 10 Homework:
Physical: Add in body weight exercises.
I said I’d be adding in more pull ups and chins. I got my baseline this week with a sad 8 consecutive pullups and 11 chins. Going to work at it to up the numbers this week.
Mental: Get your read on
Im 25% through Arnold’s book and I have another bodybuilding one lined up. On the other side of things, I am reading a technical exam study book as well to increase my value.
Martial: Doing your form blind
Now that you have a decent grasp on your form, it’s time to do it blind. Either grab a blindfold or simply close your eyes and go through the form in a WIDE OPEN SPACE.
Pay special attention to your body and how it adjusts to doing the form without any visual input. You’ll likely find your balance is off a bit and you might not be facing the right direction after you make several turns.
This is fine. We’re learning to orient our body without the use of our sight and building our tactile awareness.
