Way of the Warlord: Phase 12

This week we continue with our Way of the Warlord program here at A Kings Castle.  This is designed to be an interactive physical, mental, and martial arts program where the authors of the site give out a two week challenge to the readers to better ourselves and become better men.

Phase 11 Homework

Physical: Up That Cardio Game

I’ve ramped up cardio to 60 minutes daily of HITT style running/elliptical/stair climber. I’ve actually lost about 3 lbs and my muscle mass doesn’t seem to be suffering, so I’m going to keep on with that.

Mental:  Avoiding Distraction

My productivity is through the roof.  I hadn’t realized just how much time you waste dckheading around on the internet.  I’ve been ahead of the game on all my projects this week.  I’m loving this newly found time I can use to accomplish a shit ton of work.

 

Phase 12 Homework

Physical: The Superset Challenge

I was doing this just for fun the other day just to see how it went.  Basically you do as many supersets for a given muscle or muscle group at a time.  I did concentration curls, cable curls, then zottman curls.  3 sets to failure.  I dont do these every day, as I’m following WB Fitness’s plan, but this is more of a “how long can you make it” challenge.

Mental: A Rock in the Storm

Last week my wife was losing her shit about work and something at home and I just kept my cool the whole time.  I rationally calmed her down and helped her figure out what she needed to do to fix her issue. She was very appreciative and thanked me.   I’ve done this for countless other people as well.  Next time you see someone (you give a damn about)  all hyped up over something, go out of your way to be extra calm and cool.
