Dine and Dash

Man Accused of Serial Dining-and-Dashing, Leaving Women He Met Online to Foot Bill, Faces 10 Felony Counts: L.A. County Prosecutors

Curious about your thoughts on this one. A guy has been setting up dates online and taking out women out to dinner. Just before the time comes to pay the bill, he splits leaving the woman to pay the bill. To me, it is cheap. But to be arrested and indicted on felony charges?

I don’t think it is much different than some girl accepting dates or drinks with no intention of pursuing a relationship. Most every guy has had to put up with that, which is considered par for the course in dating. But now since the shoe is on the other foot, and the victim woman has to pay for dinner, the cops are more than happy to get involved.

As a man in his early 40's, I grew up on a dairy farm in an irreligious home. Disgusted with the choice of women out there, I looked into religion to find a worthwhile mate. At 23, I joined the LDS (Mormon) faith, married, became a civil engineer, and now have six children. My favorite things are puppies, long walks on the beach, and the color blue (not really).
