Merry Christmas

Happy Birthday to our Lord and Savior.

Merry Christmas to all those of you out there. If you make more than one or two posts, you are spending too much time away from your family on this special day.

As a man in his early 40's, I grew up on a dairy farm in an irreligious home. Disgusted with the choice of women out there, I looked into religion to find a worthwhile mate. At 23, I joined the LDS (Mormon) faith, married, became a civil engineer, and now have six children. My favorite things are puppies, long walks on the beach, and the color blue (not really).

  1. Merry Christmas AKC readers & posters, yes … even you fruit.

hope everyone can spend the day with friends & family.

    1. A very merry Christmas and bestowings of yule as well to you Mr Slim and to all. A special hats off to the people of Paradise Ca too this Christmas. From late September, a month before their town was incinerated and burnt to dust, the place was vibrant, 89% European and oblivious to what loomed ahead. The Paradise (PHS) and Redding girls at half time:

No cherry picking here, but in 2018 for a working class town in California, that place appeared as blonde and good looking as a Baywatch show. Now Hollywood to the south is what you would call an actual cherry picked smattering that only looks like Baywatch but is in reality a festibule of blood drinking elites and their baby eating minions. But Paradise . . . It was plain folks largely descended of real Europeans. Confederate flags were even flown on some homes.

The 200+ foot tall tall pines in the background are resistant to brush fires. Sequoias reach 400ft and require the heat of a ground fire to crack and germinate the pine cones. Trees can’t run so the sequoias evolved mature thick trunks with the foliage crowns high above the ground fire level. People on the other hand can run, so I hope those folks all made it out of there during the fire.

Some people were BURNED ALIVE as this man accounts for his neighbors. His one neighbor, a middle aged lady stalled the evacuation of her caravan because she had to finish putting on her make up!!

With cell phones, countless people fleeing recorded their accounts. Houses going “pop” and suddenly combusting is described.

With so many people uploading footage of their escape from the fire, it looks recurring where structures are either intact or are instantly in combustion.

Flames appear to rise vertically and embers do not appear to be vigorously blown horizontally in many of the structure fires. Here we see homes being protected by firefighters and one suddenly appears to burst into flames from the middle of the roof/attic. It is caught on camera a mere THREE minutes into the burn and wind appears minimal:

Is there something else at work fuelling the structure fires, something else behind the smoke of an otherwise standard brush fire?? The verdict is still out – maybe.

Again a Merry Christmas Slim and also hats off to the people of Paradise this Christmas. I don’t feel right posting so many fire videos that are burning and sweltering to the eyes to watch so it is only right that I post something that clears the tear ducts a bit:
