Weightlifting and Bodybuilding are pushed on many sites, including this one. Every guy should be doing some sort of physical exercise where you are moving weights. One aspect of fitness that is often pushed to the back burner is the cardio game. WB Fitness has us doing 60 minutes daily now, and I have gone from someone who loathed the sight of a treadmill to someone who actually looks forward to it. Today I’ll list the benefits of doing cardio, but I’ll really focus on how I went from a guy who just lifted weights, to one who does 60+ minutes of cardio after a tough lifting session.
I recently saw a recipe online for a liver recipe that I knew I just had to try. It was simple, had a wide variety of flavors that still worked well together, is incredibly healthy, and -most importantly- damn delicious!
Many people turn their noses up at liver as something alien and disgusting to eat, but they are doing themselves a great disservice. Liver, when prepared properly, is fantastic and boasts an astounding nutrient profile. In fact, liver is so potent that it is advised to only eat 1 or 2 small servings per week or else risk overdosing on certain vitamins and minerals. My life is pretty busy. Having a full time job as a Systems Administrator, 3 kids, a wife, house being built, after school activities, homework, and studying for my certification exams is a lot on one plate. That said, you need time to be by yourself and do things you want to do. For me this is going to the gym in the early morning. I have always been an early riser, but for anyone who can, I’d recommend getting up earlier in the morning if possible. Today I’ll go over the benefits I’ve found from getting up early in the mornings.
Despite the weather and what seems like an endless winter, the unofficial start of summer is just 56 days away!!! That means nice weather and sun’s out guns out. Are you close to your goals? Are you still on the fence? It’s not a lot of time but it’s doable to change your body enough to make this summer either one of regret or one of greatness. I’m ramping up workout intensity and cardio in these last 2 months. What are your goals?
Over the weekend, I was able to catch up with an old friend from high school. He’s not too different from myself, married with 2 kids and a full-tme job, except for one glaring difference, he’d really let himself go. Today I’ll go over why it is important to keep yourself in good shape and looking the best you can, and why it’s important to the health of your marriage and family.
This week we continue with our Way of the Warlord program here at A Kings Castle. This is designed to be an interactive physical, mental, and martial arts program where the authors of the site give out a two week challenge to the readers to better ourselves and become better men.
No man can be a master at everything in the world. Even things you’re good at can suffer in minor areas. Naturally, people want to do things they are good at, an oftentimes hide their weak points. This applies in many areas of your life. Recently I’ve been focusing on weak points in my physique that lag behind other areas. I see these parts that need to be fixed, and I hate them. I realized in order to change it, I have to make it happen through hard work, but initially confronting them is often the hardest part. Today, I’ll go over how I have been confronting weaknesses in all areas of my life, and the change it can bring to anyone looking to improve.
Much of my reading these days has been about bodybuilding. As you all know, I’m on the Team WB Fitness program that is, you guessed it, a bodybuilding program. When I am doing something, I want to know all about it, and research it and learn all there is to know on a the subject. Naturally, I have been reading Arnold Schwarzenegger’s books. If you want advice, I say go to the best. In his book “The Education of a Bodybuilder”, Arnold explains a method he used inside and outside the gym to reach success. Today I’ll explain what they are, and how I’ve been using this method in my own life to succeed.
