Red Pill Authors: The Western Hero

I love to read but it can be hard to find decent, honest, red-pill material. I like some non-fiction, mainly biographical or historical, but probably 80% of my reading is fictional. I know this may seem heretical to some.

I hear the cry of: “How can you improve yourself by reading fake stories? You can’t learn anything from fiction!” Outrage duly noted, but I beg to differ. Continue reading “Red Pill Authors: The Western Hero”

How to Grow Peppers and Make Hot Sauce

I love spicy food.  I can put hot sauce on almost anything and love trying sauces made of different peppers.  I’ve always loved growing my own vegetables as well so this year I decided to grow a variety of hot peppers I’d use to make different homemade hot sauces.  Today I’ll go over the basics of these easy to grow vegetables and how to make a basic sauce recipe.

Scheduled Maintenance

A King’s Castle is expanding!

We will be switching to new servers tonight, and will be down for a few hours starting at 12:00 AM EDT to make the move. Once that is complete, things should be faster and more responsive.

Thank you to all our readers who have made this move necessary!

UPDATE: We have successfully changed servers and migrated everything over. Thanks for your patience.

Protect Your Family by Learning How to Fight: Part 4

That’s right, gents! It’s time for another post on learning to defend you and your family.  If you haven’t read the previous entries, I strongly encourage you read them as well (Part 1, Part 2, Part 3).  Each lesson we cover can be applied to any style you train in and is also relevant to self-defense.  Never forget what is at stake every time you walk out your front door either alone or with your family.  Continue reading “Protect Your Family by Learning How to Fight: Part 4”

8/30/17 Open Thread: Monetizing AKC

Good Afternoon Gentlemen,

Due to the massive influx of new readers (thank you again, by the way), our server is running at near max capacity.  If we continue to grow, the site will begin to slow down.  As such, we will soon be upgrading our account to handle the additional traffic.

With this comes an important question: How to pay for the site? Continue reading “8/30/17 Open Thread: Monetizing AKC”

Building A Mental Firewall

If frame is our personal set of boundaries, and sense of self that we do not change, then my topic today kind of plays off of that concept.  As a leader, you get to decide what your family is subjected to on a daily basis.  If nothing else, you can mitigate the amount of toxicity they are exposed to and  you can use this added time to build a stronger relationship with your family.

The 48 Laws of Marriage: Law 6

“We are told to let our light shine, and if it does, we won’t need to tell anybody it does. Lighthouses don’t fire cannons to call attention to their shining – they just shine.”

-Dwight L. Moody

Well gentlemen, it’s been a while since I’ve covered another one of the 48 Laws of Marriage, but here we are again.  Law 6 is a bit of a confusing law to apply to marriage and I will readily admit that it took a bit of thinking of this tool in a different light to figure out how to apply it to marriage. Zen and the Art of Archery

Bow shooting is one of the oldest, most primal things a man can do.  While I am pro firearms, a bow is something different.  There is a connection to the past as well as a bit of a soothing aspect of doing something so ancient, yet so fun. Today I’ll explain the mental benefits of getting into archery and how you can pick up this hobby without breaking the bank.
