Ah January, a time when everyone is on their A game right? Everyone is committed to getting fit/eating better, quitting smoking/drinking, saving more money, etc. All of these are great but they typically don’t last very long. The problem with new years resolutions is that they’re almost always destined to fail. Today, I’ll go over why resolutions typically fail and what you can do to create real change in your life this year
These days it seems that the second someone is pushed out of their comfort bubble, they lash out and begin to lose control. I’ve been practicing a method on keeping myself focused on the goal when things in my life become hectic. There is a point where you have to decide that you’re in it for the long haul and that despite how crazy the situation, you’re going to kick ass and take names
Whether you’re about about to make that last rep, about to get that last mile in, or 20 minutes out from completing a project, there seems to be this voice telling you that “this is too hard” and “just give up.” I’ve worked to ignore this voice and push myself harder than I ever could by grinding on and keeping things moving. To me, that is the key to overcoming your own self doubt and unreal limitations.
