As I return to posting to Team WB Fitness today, I’m going over a topic that I’ve only just recently began to witness and comment on. I’ll paraphrase Ronnie Coleman here when I say “Errybody wanna lose body fat but nobody wanna give up the pizza.” Hardly Shakespeare, but you know what I mean. The biggest bit of knowledge I’ve learned this year about fitness is that your diet has to be as important as your training. Today, I’ll go over my insights and keys to lowering body fat.
Time, energy and money – the big three. These, minus the use of other people, are the three resources you have to get what you want out of your life. The reason I’m ignoring other people is that although they can give you information, they aren’t going to get you lean or muscular. Only you can. So, it’s just these three resources. I wrote an article a while back here on how to improve your fat loss results. There were some opposing views in the comments section, mainly in regards to whether or not men should go fast or go slow when beginning their fitness journeys. My article proposed the more moderate approach, whereas several comments disagreed and thought that a more aggressive approach was better. Today I’m going to address this. I’ve spoken to a lot of guys recently, particularly “older guys”, and the primary concern amongst them apart from family issues, seems to be fitness related. The number one problem within fitness appears to be body fat. Obviously, excessive levels of body fat are a real issue, both from a health standpoint and a fitness standpoint. We all want to look good, right? We all want to live long lives full of energy and vitality, don’t we? It’s safe to say that it’s time to lose the blubber. This week we continue with our Way of the Warlord program here at A Kings Castle. This is designed to be an interactive physical, mental, and martial arts program where the authors of the site give out a two week challenge to the readers to better ourselves and become better men.
Ah January, a time when everyone is on their A game right? Everyone is committed to getting fit/eating better, quitting smoking/drinking, saving more money, etc. All of these are great but they typically don’t last very long. The problem with new years resolutions is that they’re almost always destined to fail. Today, I’ll go over why resolutions typically fail and what you can do to create real change in your life this year
One facet of the Christmas season that I’ve observed is that people let their dietary choices go out the window. People just accept that they’ll be shoveling junk food in their mouths and chugging excess booze the whole time just to make a “resolution” to eat healthy in January, which usually has them back home on their lazy asses within two weeks. As I prepare for my collaboration with Team WB Fitness next month, I’m going to keep my diet clean this month and I’ll share my plan on keeping myself from looking like Santa by Christmas
Last week we gave you a break, but today we continue our new Way of the Warlord program here at A Kings Castle. This is designed to be an interactive physical, mental, and martial arts program where the authors of the site give out a two week challenge to the readers to better ourselves and become better men. Today’s post is the mid point update where we will share our questions, triumphs, difficulties, and advice.
This is an update to my article from September where I listed delicious, easy to make foods to pack on muscle mass. Being a fan of food and gains, I wanted to add some more foods that I eat, especially while in the winter bulking months.
Vacation. A time for rest, relaxation, over-indulgence and gluttony. Does that sound familiar? Why does our hard work and determination have to stop just because we have a week off? For me, lifting is as much mental as it is physical. If I go more than 3 days without, I start to get mentally uneasy. Today, I’ll post what I’ll be doing while on vacation next week to keep myself psychically and mentally strong.
