Isaiah 30:8-10,12-14 KJV
Now go, write it before them in a table, and note it in a book, that it may be for the time to come for ever and ever: That this is a rebellious people, lying children, children that will not hear the law of the Lord : Which say to the seers, See not; and to the prophets, Prophesy not unto us right things, speak unto us smooth things, prophesy deceits:
Wherefore thus saith the Holy One of Israel, Because ye despise this word, and trust in oppression and perverseness, and stay thereon: Therefore this iniquity shall be to you as a breach ready to fall, swelling out in a high wall, whose breaking cometh suddenly at an instant. And he shall break it as the breaking of the potters’ vessel that is broken in pieces; he shall not spare: so that there shall not be found in the bursting of it a sherd to take fire from the hearth, or to take water withal out of the pit.
Each generation faces different challenges in our spiritual walk. We each face differing mentalities in the world around us. Some have faced persecution unto death. Others faced banishment and rejection. Some have enjoyed times of peace or even great awakenings in the Spirit.

Joshua had led the Israelites into the Promised Land, Caanan, and under his leadership they had conquered most of the land. But, as we see so often, once the strong leader died the people strayed. Continue reading “Mighty Man”
A sixteen year old youth becomes pater familias. A soldier captured by pirates. A man smeared by his enemies because of their fear of him. A man who divorced his wife due to infidelity. A great soldier and premier orator. A man who despised elitism and corruption, but wasn’t afraid to get his hands Continue reading “Savior of the Republic”
Peace is a lie, there is only passion.
Through passion, I gain strength.
Through strength, I gain power.
Through power, I gain victory.
Through victory, my chains are broken.
The Force shall free me.
The Sith code. All about strength and order through that strength. Let’s break it down, shall we?

I am an avid student of history. I love trying to get inside the minds of people in the past and try to understand why they do what they do and I love to draw the parallels to today and try to learn from it. The old saying “Those who do not learn history are doomed to repeat it” is true. If you don’t learn from other’s mistakes, you will just have to learn from your own.
The Great Man Theory
The “Great Man” school of history is this: history can be largely explained by the impact of great men, or heroes; highly influential individuals who, due to either their personal charisma, intelligence, wisdom, or political skill Continue reading “Great Men of History”
Can modern communities do without great men? Can they dispense with hero-worship? Can they provide a larger wisdom, a nobler sentiment, a more vigorous action, by collective processes, than were ever got from the Titans? Can nations remain healthy, can all nations draw together, in a world whose brightest stars are film stars and whose gods are sitting in the gallery? . . . There is a sense of vacancy and of fatuity, of incompleteness. We miss our giants. We are sorry that their age is past. . . .We mourn the towering grandeur which surrounded and cheered our long painful ascent. Ah! If we could only find some new enormous berg rising towards the heavens as high above our plateau as those old mountains down below rose above the plains and marshes!
– Winston Churchill

The driving force through the first six episodes (the only ones that count) was a young Jedi’s desire to make the world a better place and the lengths he would go to achieve that. This desire would lead him to do some things passive observers would recoil from, but the drive was always to bring order.

When I first came into contact with Star Wars (2007) I was introduced to the prequels first. I read the books for Episodes I-III, along with several other accompanying novels and the Dark Horse “Clone Wars” comics (excellent, by the way).
My next foray was the Thrawn Trilogy by Timothy Zahn. These books are very good and kicked off the whole Expanded Universe (EU) of Star Wars. The EU is now known as “Legends” post-Disney, even though there are some things, such as Thrawn, that carry over into Disney’s Star Wars canon.

In marriage there are roles that each man and woman must take on. The man is expected to be a protector, provider, a strategist, and strong. A woman is expected to be dedicated, a care taker, loyal, and provide in a different way. Far too often you see married guys succumbing to every single request their wives have and you can almost feel the tension and see the broken spirit of the guy. While there will be some crossover of duties at times, the balance should be equal. Continue reading “Denying Her Requests”
A large part of the red pill community fails to address the next generation. Our sons and daughters are our legacy, and to come upon such theories and practices which we subscribe to, only to have them forgotten once we pass is tragic in itself.
My oldest son is reaching age ten now and I’ve noticed the shift he’s gone through over the past few years. He’s shifted his focus onto me more so than his mother. He tries to emulate dad more every day. I owe it to him to show him how a man should act. Continue reading “Leading Our Sons to Victory”
